This Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer Policy ("Policy") governs all activity on thebetspino.org and applies to every registered player. Betspino is operated by Cashbit Group N.V. under Curaçao eGaming licence #157923. We are committed to preventing financial crime, protecting our players, and fulfilling every obligation imposed on us by our licensing authority and applicable international standards.
Betspino is required by the conditions of its Curaçao eGaming licence to maintain effective controls against money laundering (ML), terrorist financing (TF), and other financial crime. This Policy sets out how we identify our players, monitor transactions, detect suspicious activity, and respond when risks are identified. It applies to all accounts registered on thebetspino.org, regardless of the payment method or currency used, and covers every deposit, withdrawal, bonus redemption, and betting transaction processed through the platform.
Cashbit Group N.V. takes a risk-based approach. This means that the level of scrutiny we apply to any account or transaction is proportionate to the risk that account or transaction presents. Lower-risk situations attract proportionate, streamlined checks; higher-risk situations attract enhanced due diligence.
Our AML/KYC programme is designed to comply with:
Where any conflict exists between this Policy and applicable law, applicable law prevails. Betspino reserves the right to update this Policy at any time to reflect changes in regulatory requirements or internal risk assessments.
Money laundering is the process by which the proceeds of criminal activity are made to appear legitimate. It typically occurs in three stages:
Betspino's controls are designed to detect and disrupt activity at every stage. Gambling platforms are an acknowledged target for all three, and our monitoring systems are calibrated accordingly.
Every player who registers an account on thebetspino.org must complete identity verification before their first withdrawal is processed. Betspino may also request verification at any point during a player's relationship with us, including before bonus funds are released, if a deposit or withdrawal pattern triggers a risk flag, or if our compliance team identifies indicators of concern. Verification is non-negotiable — accounts where KYC is not completed within a reasonable period following a request will be suspended pending receipt of documentation.
Standard CDD applies to all players as a baseline. To satisfy standard CDD, players must provide:
All documents must be submitted in digital format (JPEG, PNG, or PDF) through the secure verification portal accessible from the player's account dashboard or, where directed, by email to our compliance team. Physical copies are not accepted.
Enhanced Due Diligence is applied in circumstances where the risk associated with an account or transaction is assessed as higher than standard. EDD triggers include, but are not limited to:
Under EDD, we may additionally require:
Accounts subject to EDD will not be permitted to withdraw funds until EDD is completed to the satisfaction of our compliance team. Betspino reserves the right to restrict deposits and gameplay during an EDD review.
A Politically Exposed Person is an individual who holds or has held a prominent public function, such as a head of state, senior politician, senior government official, senior judicial or military official, senior executive of a state-owned enterprise, or a senior official of an international organisation. Close associates and immediate family members of PEPs are treated as PEPs for the purposes of this Policy.
Betspino screens all players against recognised PEP databases as part of our standard onboarding and ongoing monitoring processes. PEPs are automatically subject to Enhanced Due Diligence, and senior management approval is required before a business relationship with a PEP is established or continued.
Betspino screens all players and transactions against applicable international sanctions lists, including those maintained by the United Nations Security Council, the European Union, and other relevant bodies. Accounts that match or are closely associated with a listed individual or entity will be frozen immediately and reported to the relevant authority in accordance with applicable obligations. Betspino does not knowingly accept players who are subject to applicable sanctions, nor does it process transactions that would breach sanctions requirements.
Players are required to provide accurate, truthful, and complete information when registering an account on thebetspino.org. The name, date of birth, address, and contact details entered at registration must match the identity documents provided during KYC. Any material discrepancy between registration data and KYC documentation will result in the account being held pending clarification. Providing false information at registration is a breach of our Terms and Conditions and may constitute a criminal offence.
Players must notify Betspino promptly of any change to their registered details, including a change of address or payment method. Updated proof of address or other relevant documentation may be required to record the change.
Betspino operates automated transaction monitoring across all accounts on thebetspino.org. Our systems review deposits and withdrawals against known risk indicators in real time. The following behaviours, among others, may trigger a manual review or a temporary restriction on an account:
Where automated monitoring flags a transaction, our compliance team conducts a manual review. During a review, we may impose a temporary hold on withdrawals, restrict deposit functionality, or request additional documentation. We will communicate with the player via the contact details registered on their account, in Dutch or English as appropriate. Betspino's 24/7 support team is available through live chat and email to assist players with any queries that arise during a review.
Where our compliance team determines that a transaction or pattern of activity is suspicious, and that there are reasonable grounds to suspect the involvement of money laundering or terrorist financing, Betspino will file a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) or its equivalent with the relevant financial intelligence authority. This obligation exists regardless of the amount involved and regardless of whether any loss has been suffered.
Betspino strictly prohibits "tipping off" — informing a player that they are under investigation or that a SAR has been or may be filed. Any member of staff or third party who tips off a subject of investigation may be subject to criminal liability. Players should not infer from the absence of a communication that no report has been made.
Where a SAR has been filed, Betspino may be required to suspend account activity, including processing of pending withdrawals, until we receive consent from the relevant authority to proceed or until the authority's prescribed timeframe has elapsed.
The payment methods available on thebetspino.org each carry their own risk profile, and our monitoring procedures are calibrated accordingly.
| Payment Method | AML Consideration |
|---|---|
| iDEAL / Trustly | Direct bank connections. Account holder information is automatically confirmed by the bank, reducing identity risk. Deposits are linked to a verified bank account in the player's name. |
| Visa / Mastercard | Cardholder name verified against registration data. Withdrawal is not available to cards; refunds are processed where applicable. Third-party card use is prohibited. |
| Skrill / Neteller | E-wallet accounts are independently verified by the provider. Players may be asked to confirm e-wallet account ownership. Withdrawals are permitted to the same e-wallet used for deposit. |
| Apple Pay | Linked to a verified payment card or bank account. Treated equivalently to card payments for AML purposes. |
| Paysafecard | Prepaid and anonymous at point of purchase. Paysafecard is accepted for deposits only. Higher-volume Paysafecard activity may trigger additional identity and source-of-funds verification. |
| Bitcoin / ETH / LTC / USDT / DOGE / XRP | Cryptocurrency transactions are subject to blockchain analytics screening. Funds originating from flagged or sanctioned wallets, mixers, or darknet-associated addresses will be rejected. Players may be required to confirm wallet ownership and provide source-of-funds documentation for significant crypto volumes. Same-day withdrawals are available to verified accounts. |
| Bank Transfer | Permitted for withdrawals from €200. Must be to an account in the player's own name held at an institution in an accepted jurisdiction. Processing takes 3–5 business days. Source-of-funds verification may be required for high-value transfers. |
Betspino does not accept cash deposits, anonymous payment methods beyond prepaid vouchers (subject to the limits described above), or payments from or to third parties. All deposits and withdrawals must be made by the registered account holder using methods held in their own name. Where a mismatch is identified, the transaction will be refused and the account may be suspended pending investigation.
The following withdrawal limits apply to all accounts on thebetspino.org and form part of our broader AML transaction monitoring framework:
| Control | Limit / Condition |
|---|---|
| Minimum withdrawal | €40 (bank transfer: €200) |
| Maximum per transaction | €5,000 |
| Weekly withdrawal cap | €10,000 |
| Monthly withdrawal cap | €20,000 |
| Withdrawals above €5,000 | Must be processed in multiple transactions within applicable caps |
| KYC requirement | Full standard CDD must be completed before any withdrawal is processed |
| Preferred routing | Withdrawals are routed to the same method used for the corresponding deposit where possible |
Betspino does not impose fees on withdrawals. Any delay beyond the advertised processing times for e-wallets (1–24 hours), cryptocurrency (same day), or bank transfer (3–5 business days) will, in most cases, be attributable to a pending compliance review or a requirement for additional documentation.
Betspino acknowledges that problem gambling and financial crime can present overlapping indicators. Unusual or rapid gambling behaviour, significant changes in deposit volume, and requests to withdraw funds with minimal play are relevant both to our responsible gambling obligations and to our AML monitoring. Our teams work in a coordinated manner so that a player identified as potentially experiencing gambling harm is offered appropriate support, whilst any financial crime concern is simultaneously assessed under this Policy.
Players who wish to limit their activity on thebetspino.org may do so through the responsible gambling tools available in their account settings, including deposit limits and self-exclusion. Applying such limits does not affect outstanding KYC requirements or any ongoing compliance review.
Betspino retains records relating to player identity, KYC documentation, transaction history, and compliance reviews in accordance with our obligations under the Curaçao eGaming licence and applicable law. As a minimum, records are retained for five (5) years from the date of the last transaction or from the date the account is closed, whichever is later. Records relating to a SAR or a formal regulatory inquiry are retained for such longer period as may be required.
All records are stored securely and are accessible only to authorised personnel. Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available separately on thebetspino.org.
Cashbit Group N.V. ensures that all staff with responsibility for compliance, payments, customer support, or account management receive appropriate AML/KYC training. Training covers the recognition of suspicious activity, the correct procedure for escalating concerns, tipping-off restrictions, sanctions obligations, and the specific risk profile of online gambling. Training is conducted on an ongoing basis and is updated whenever there is a material change to our regulatory obligations or risk environment.
Betspino has appointed a designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) who is responsible for receiving internal disclosures of suspected money laundering or terrorist financing, assessing those disclosures, and making external reports to the relevant authority where required. The MLRO function operates independently of commercial considerations.
Players who fail to provide requested KYC documentation within a reasonable timeframe, who provide false or misleading information, or who are found to have engaged in activity consistent with money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or other financial crime will have their accounts suspended or permanently closed. Where funds in such an account are determined to be the proceeds of crime, they will not be returned to the player and will be dealt with in accordance with our regulatory obligations, which may include reporting to and remitting funds to the relevant authority.
Betspino reserves the right to decline any registration, refuse any deposit, delay any withdrawal, or close any account at any time where doing so is required or warranted by our compliance obligations, without being required to disclose the specific reason to the player where disclosure would constitute tipping off.
